Our History

The Philippine Bible Seminary (PBS) is a non-profit Christian Bible Theological educational institution and was founded by American Christian missionaries, Mr. & Mrs. Norval & Dondena Campbell from Ohio, United States in 1958.  The goal of the School in all levels is to prepare the students for proficiency in the knowledge of God’s Word and in Christian character. These must go together. Christian knowledge without Christian character is hypocrisy and Christian character without commendable knowledge of God’s Word is ineffective.

Seminary study is intended to train and to equip young people, men as well as women in the knowledge of the Bible and teach them how to live a useful Christian life and to be able to serve God and man. It is a training haven for Filipinos particularly people of  Ilocos region to study the Bible and prepare them to become Christian Leaders, Preachers, Evangelists or Ministers.

Bible studies started in the year 1958 with one building (the now girls dormitory). On December 18, 1963, PBS was registered in the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) with a registry number 24237. At present, the mission is being continued by their children, spearheaded by Philip Campbell together with his son, Wes Campbell and other faithful and generous brethren in America and other parts of the world.
